How can we help?

Video player theme customization

NeetoRecord offers video player theme customization, letting you customize the appearance of your video player to match your branding or personal preference. Choose from various themes or create your own to enhance the viewing experience for your audience.

To help you out and get you started, NeetoRecord comes with a few themes. You can use any of these themes or create your own.

Using existing themes

  1. Click on the video you want to edit from the Recordings tab.

  2. On the main recording page, click the Theme tab on the top bar.

  3. The default system theme will be applied initially.

  4. To create a custom theme, you can either clone an existing theme or create a new one from scratch.

  5. To clone a theme, click on the three-dot menu on an existing theme and click Clone.

  6. To create a theme from scratch, click on the "+" icon.

  7. Make the necessary modifications to the theme and save your changes.

  8. Once satisfied with a theme, click Apply This Theme to apply it to your recording.

You can set a particular theme as the global theme. This will automatically apply the theme to all future recordings, including any existing recordings that were created with the previous global theme.

Setting as global theme

  1. Click on the video whose theme you want to set as global.

  2. On the main recording page, click the Theme tab on the top bar.

  3. Click the three-dot menu on the theme and click Set as global theme.

Once a global theme is set, you cannot remove it. You can only remove the current global theme by setting another theme as the global theme. This is because there must be a global theme to be applied to future recordings.

Overlay logo on recordings

  1. Click on the video from the Recordings tab

  2. On the main recording page, click the Theme tab on the top bar.

  3. Click on the applied theme and click Edit. If you are using the default theme, clone the theme.

  4. Scroll down to the Logo section and upload your logo.

  5. Select the logo position and size.

  6. You can add a redirect URL while will be opened when the logo is clicked

Choosing which player controls viewers see

The theme applied to a recording decides which controls appear in the player when someone watches the shared link. If a viewer cannot see the progress bar or the play and pause buttons, the theme on that recording has those controls turned off.

Each of these controls can be turned on or off in a theme:

  • Play/Pause/Skip — the play, pause, and skip buttons.

  • Progress bar — the seek bar that shows how far the video has played.

  • Volume — the volume slider and mute button.

  • Playback rate — the speed selector.

  • Fullscreen — the fullscreen button.

  • Timer — the elapsed and total time.

  • Closed captions — the captions button.

All of them are enabled by default. To change them:

  1. Click on the video from the Recordings tab.

  2. Click the Theme tab on the top bar.

  3. Click on the applied theme and click Edit. If you are using the default theme, clone it first.

  4. Turn each control on or off.

  5. Save your changes and click Apply This Theme.

Note: The controls stay hidden while the viewer's pointer is away from the video and appear when the pointer moves over it, so a control that is enabled may simply be waiting for the viewer to move the mouse.

Changing player colors

A theme also sets the colors of the player that viewers see. You can set the Primary color, Secondary color, Icon and text color, and Background color while editing a theme. These apply to the controls and the area around the video on the public watch page.
