By default NeetoRecord desktop app is running the background. This required mainly for two purposes
Menubar: Most of our users like the NeetoRecord icon always available in the menubar, this allows them to quickly start a recording. For more info aboutn menubar read https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/record-video-desktop-app
Keyboard shortcuts: We have lot of users who like to instantly start a recording using a keyboard shortcut(
Cmd+shift+E). For this to work NeetoRecord need to be running in the background. For more info on Keyboard shortcuts read https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/keyboard-shortcuts-for-chrome-extension-cloned-1726639167
If you don't have both of above use cases, or someone who uses NeetoRecord rarely, you can turn off this feature from Settings->General->App in background
