How can we help?

Recovering unfinished recordings

If your browser crashes or closes while you're recording with the Chrome extension or the web recorder, NeetoRecord keeps the part of the recording that was already uploaded. You can recover it as a recording, or discard it.

Uploaded parts are kept for 14 days. After that, the recording can't be recovered.

The NeetoRecord desktop app recovers its own recordings from your computer, so this article doesn't apply to it.

Recovering from the recordings page

When a recording stops uploading before it's finished, the recordings page shows the message "Your last recording stopped uploading before it finished", along with when the last part arrived. If more than one recording stopped, the message shows how many, and the buttons act on the most recent one.

  1. Click Recover.

NeetoRecord finishes the recording with everything uploaded so far and opens it.

To delete the recording instead:

  1. Click Discard.

  2. Click Discard again to confirm.

This deletes the recording and everything uploaded so far, and it can't be undone.

Recovering from the Chrome extension

The next time you open the NeetoRecord Chrome extension, it shows the message "Your last recording wasn't finished", along with the recording's title.

  1. Click Recover recording to finish the recording with everything uploaded so far. The recording opens when it's ready.

  2. To delete it instead, click Discard.

  3. To decide later, click Dismiss.
